We got drunk, danced, and sang… we just couldn’t help it =D We even sang what if God was drunk like us?

I even tried to teach Matt how to dance… EPIC FAIL!

Please have a Happy and Safe New Year folks, don’t drink and drive, don’t get dangerous, just have fun and be careful =D

What are all of the types of simple machines that make up a wine opener like the one shown here:

Page not found… but that's ok. The typical wine opener consists of a screw (corkscrew) and lever (the handles that drive a gear assembly).

I have read Song of Solomon a number of times. It is strictly a romantic book. The problem is not romance itself, but that the lovers are not clearly mentioned, and love is only of a sensual nature. Just a few sample phrases: 1:2 "Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth–for your you love is more delightful than wine." Still in chapter 1, not indicated married yet but still states 1:16 "And our bed is verdant." In 5th chapter bride speaks of "arms of rods" and "legs are pillars of marble." In the 6th chapter the groom then gets his comments in on subject: "graceful legs are like jewels," beautiful feet, and "breasts like two fawns." Fawns were considered to be soft and lovable.

My question is that in trying follow Bible literally these really do not take in the best love. In John 3:16 God's love for us in the Greek is agapao live in a social or moral senese (agape comes from this). Although different Hebrew words for love are used one most common is love, to boil, a love token.

Based on this it seems Song of Solomon presents a theme of love gone too sensual. Our first love and passion should be God period. Is this reasonable? Also, is it not true that Solomon was led astray from he Hebrew God by his foreign wives? So might this be a lesson that a marriage is more than passion? It must be more than that, and if not problems can be caused. Was not God displeased with Solomon and as a result divided his kingdom upon his death? What do readers think of viewing Song of Solomon more as an example of what one should NOT do? Samson got carried away by passion and look what happened to him. All comments and thoughts would be blessedly received. It says in Isaiah for us to reason together. Any disagreements respected and different perspectives appreciated. Shalom.

I see the point of your concern, however, if the elders had considered the book to be inspired and worthy of being included amongst the Holy Scriptures, then it is worthy of study, reverence, and teaching.

Perhaps the approach that passionate human love and affection is a gift from the Creator and comes from His love is the best way to teach this beautiful book. Is not the love shared by a man and a woman in marriage a holy love?

Also, I have heard some interpret the Song as a metaphor for the love He has for his Church.

I hope this helps.

May God bless

… a man who gives good human lessons to his children and drinks wine and goes to disco……OR ….. a man who doesn't drink but is not as good to his children?
AKA…:::::::::: lolz…. I am not American neither an Engish!
no word seems better than Disco for this type of disco!
and I might agree with your mom!
AKA= Lill Wayne.

Kindness and consideration to others - ESPECIALLY one's own kids - has GOT to take the top spot!
The world is full of parochially righteous people (male AND female) who have NO human feeling for ANYONE - including their own children - and I think THAT is sadder than the words of ANY known language can ever describe!!!
It really amazed me when I figured out how rare the simple ability to enjoy life is. (Surprisingly, most of the people who DO drink and carouse loudly in public places are NOT really enjoying life.) It is rare enough to be a real treasure when one finds it, and a treasure well-worthy of passing on to one's children!
If the drinker in your example DOES have this, and can pass it on, then he wins, hands down! I will ALWAYS believe that the most IMPORTANT attribute anyone can have is a kind and spiritually generous nature toward others. THAT will ALWAYS be at the top of my list, and ANYTHING else - including adherence to the various socio/religious dogmas that are out there - will come in way behind it.
